Firstly, this isn’t really a blog for anyone but me! A few years ago now we lost a baby at 25 weeks and I decided to do a 1\2 Iron Tri to raise some charitable funds – as a lot of people do. However, I think that, along with the mental anguish of supporting my wife and working I got myself into a bit of a ‘overtraining’ syndrome. I base this on a bit of reading which stated that the body doesn’t differentiate between work stress, life stress and exercise stress – it’s all just STRESS. Anyway, we have a bouncy 3 year old who has just learned to ride his bike – with pedals! We both have jobs and I am squeezing training in between everything. Every now and again the negative feelings of overtraining come back and I get cranky! This blog is my attempt to keep myself on the straight and narrow and attempt to balance everything in my life – most importantly the IMPORTANT PEOPLE! Here goes!
